This Privacy Policy explains how FullSweep SEO ("FullSweep SEO", "we", "us", or "the app") handles information when a merchant installs and uses the app on their Shopify store. FullSweep SEO is an application operated by Closiist Corporation, doing business as "FullSweep". It is a Shopify-embedded application that generates and publishes SEO copy for your products, blog posts, and pages, subject to your review and approval.
We designed the app to work with the minimum data needed to do that job. In particular, FullSweep SEO does not collect, store, or process your customers' personal data.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for the app is Closiist Corporation (doing business as "FullSweep"), the operator of FullSweep SEO. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@fullsweep.net.
2. What we access and store
When you install the app, Shopify grants it access to specific parts of your store under the permissions (scopes) you approve. We use that access only to provide the app's features. We store the following in our database:
- Store identity & authentication. Your store domain
(e.g.
your-store.myshopify.com) and the OAuth access tokens Shopify issues so the app can call the Shopify Admin API on your behalf. Tokens are rotating (expiring) offline access tokens. - Store content we optimize. Titles, descriptions, SEO titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, blog post bodies, tags, URL slugs, and page content for the products, blog posts, and pages you choose to optimize — together with a lightweight cache of that content (titles, handles, and SEO fields) so the catalog view loads quickly.
- Optimization records. A before/after history of the changes you publish through the app, so you can review and revert them.
- Your settings. Brand voice, tone, keywords, words to avoid, and other store-level preferences you configure.
- Usage & billing metadata. Counters for the number of optimizations and Claude API calls made by your store, your current plan tier, and associated cost/usage figures used for metering and billing.
- Error logs. Technical records of failed operations (retained for up to 90 days) to help us diagnose problems.
We do not access or store your customers' personal data — no names, addresses, emails, orders, or payment information. The app's Shopify permissions are limited to product, content, locale, and publication data.
3. How we use the data
- To read your products, blog posts, and pages into the app.
- To generate SEO copy that matches your configured brand voice, and to show you a before/after diff of every suggested change.
- To publish only the changes you approve back to your Shopify store, and to keep a history so you can revert them.
- To enforce plan limits and, where applicable, to bill usage.
- To diagnose and fix technical errors.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your store content to train AI models.
4. AI processing (Claude / Anthropic)
FullSweep SEO generates copy using Claude, a large language model provided by Anthropic. When you generate an optimization, the relevant store content (for example, a product title and description) and your brand-voice settings are sent to Anthropic's API to produce the suggested copy. Anthropic processes this input to return a result and, per its commercial terms, does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
5. Subprocessors
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shopify Inc. | The platform your store runs on; source and destination of the content we optimize. |
| Anthropic | Claude AI model that generates the SEO copy. |
| Railway | Cloud hosting and the PostgreSQL database where app data is stored. |
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your store's data for as long as the app is installed so that your optimization history, settings, and caches remain available to you.
- Uninstalling the app immediately revokes the app's access to your store and clears active authentication sessions. Uninstall is intentionally non-destructive: your optimization history and settings are preserved so that reinstalling restores your prior state.
- Erasure. Approximately 48 hours after uninstall, Shopify
sends a
shop/redactrequest and we permanently delete all data associated with your store — history, usage, caches, settings, and sessions. You can also request deletion at any time by emailing us. - Error logs are automatically purged after 90 days.
7. GDPR & mandatory compliance webhooks
As required for Shopify apps, we implement Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks:
-
customers/data_requestandcustomers/redact— we verify these requests, but because the app stores no customer personal data, there is nothing to compile or delete in response. -
shop/redact— we erase all data associated with your store, as described above.
If you are in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights (such as the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Access tokens are scoped to the permissions you grant and rotate automatically. Access to production systems is limited to the operators of FullSweep SEO.
9. Acceptable use
FullSweep SEO may not be used to generate SEO copy for sexually explicit or pornographic content, or for any content prohibited by Shopify's or Anthropic's usage policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify merchants through the app.
